Gingerbread Cake Balls Dipped In White Chocolate

Warm, sweet and rich….these are amazing! They are reminiscent of the perfect Starbucks cake balls that my kids beg for every time we are in line at Target (Target Starbucks that is).

Cake Balls Origination

Growing up, cake balls were not a thing. I am sad for my younger self though, because they are absolutely decadent. According to Fine Dining Lovers, cake balls were first created on Martha Stewart’s TV show by Angie Dudley or Bakerella. If you haven’t had a cake ball before, they are balls that are made up of moist cake (or in our case, soft cookie) and frosting. You bind them up really well together and then form balls. Dip those balls in a nice coating (like chocolate) and you have your treat.

What Do You Love About These?

One of the best things about these little balls from heaven is their bite. They are chewy and doughy, kind of like raw cookie dough. They are also the perfect size – just one or two bites of a special dessert, and you don’t have to feel like you won’t be able to make it up the stairs (that is if you stop after just 1… quite the feat).

To The End…

I love cake balls, you love cake balls. They taste amazing, and are the perfect treat for any type of left over dough and frosting. I will make you wait no longer…here is the recipe:
