Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Sweet Onions- Finely Chopped
  • 2 Cups Celery- Finely Chopped
  • ¼ Cup Parsley- Finely Chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Garlic- Crushed or Finely Chopped
  • 2 Cups Apples- Diced I used Honeycrisp
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Sage- Chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Rosemary- Chopped
  • ¾ Cup Salted Butter
  • 2 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 4 Cups Gluten Free Croutons I have a great recipe here! If you’re really in a time crunch, use toasted gluten free bread
  • 1 lb Mild Breakfast Sausage
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 Cup Chicken Broth

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweet onions, celery, garlic, apples, parsley, sage, rosemary, salt, pepper, coriander, and sausage.
    Add the ingredients
  • Pour in the melted butter and eggs and mix together until you have a uniform blend. It’s easiest to get your hands in there to break up the sausage.
  • Next fold in the croutons and pour in the broth.
  • Pour the uncooked stuffing and mound evenly into a greased 2.5-3qt baking dish.
Uncooked gluten free stuffing with croutons, apples, and sausage
  • Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes covered with tinfoil. (Place a baking sheet or tin foil under to catch any drippings. Uncover and continue cooking for an additional 10 minutes, feel free to broil on low to brown the top. You want your internal temperature to be minimally 160°F.
  • Remove from the oven and let the stuffing rest for 30 minutes.
  • Enjoy!
